Prof Bo ZHU graduated from the Henan Orthopaedic College in 1964. He has been engaged in the teaching, research and clinical work of integrative medicine at the Shanghai Institute of Trauma and Orthopaedics and the Shanghai Jiaotong University’s Ruijin Hospital, where he is Chief Physician with extensive clinical experience in orthopaedic disorders. He also served as chief editor and been on the editorial board of a number of orthopaedic journals and has published over 20 articles. In 1978, Prof Zhu was awarded second place in the Science and Technology Progress Award by Ministry of Science and Technology of P.R. China, and in 1989 was awarded 3rd place in the Medical Progress by the Chinese Ministry of Health. In 1986 he was selected as one of the 100 most famous contemporary doctors in China. Since migrating to Australia in 1991, Prof Zhu has continued to work as a clinician in the field of Chinese medicine orthopaedics, accumulating much valuable experience. In this seminar, he will share his views on the differential diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis and lumbar spinal stenosis with other conditions.
