Member Application

Full member:

Full membership status applies to all practising members who are registered with Ahpra as a practitioner of Chinese medicine in any or all of the following divisions:

• Registered practitioner of acupuncture
• Registered practitioner of Chinese herbal medicine
• Registered practitioner of Chinese herbal dispensing

Full membership also applies to remedial massage therapist who meet the qualification criteria.

For all applicants who are practising or living in other states or territories, please following the steps listed below:

Documents required:

For applicant who is not practising or living in Victoria, you will need to submit a completed and signed application form (please download from that link - you will need to have Adobe PDF Reader or similar) and certified copies of original documents as listed here:

1. 1. Certified copies of your graduation certificate and academic transcript (please do not send originals). No certified is needed if the document is an electric copy issued by the schools.
2. 2. For registered practitioners, your Ahpra number and evidence of current registration. (That might be a certificate downloaded from the Ahpra website, or a screen shot of the register bearing your name and details.)
3. 3. For remedial massage therapists, a certified copy of your Diploma of Remedial Massage (course code of HLT 50302 or HLT 50307 or HLT 52015 or HLT 52021 or the newest equivalent qualification), USI (Unique Student Identifier) digital transcript if you completed your study after 1 January 2015 (https://www.usi.gov.au/usi-vet-transcripts/students-and-their-vet-transcripts) (no need to certify) or a certified copy of an academic transcript if you completed your study before 1 January 2015, and a statement from the course provider confirms the course has meet requirements of remedial massage set by the private health funds.
4. 4. Electric copy of Certificate of Currency or Schedule Policies for Professional Indemnity insurance (PII) with cover that complies with Ahpra registration requirements. FCMA further requires all applicants provide evidence of PII of at least $5 million and Public/Products Liability insurance of at least $10 million. For purchase a PII please click here.
5. 5. Electric copy of current HLTAID011 Provide First Aid certificate.

NOTE:

• Documents not written in English must be translated into English by a NAATI professional translator.
• It is the discretion of FCMA for approval or not approval any application.
